| Description :
| My first batch brewing away. It was a wheat extract beer, with
half a pound of munich malt to add a little body. Hops were
cascade and tettnanger. Original gravity was 1.046.
As of this writing I'm waiting to see how it turns out.

| scottish-ish boil
an ice storm came through PDX a few days before this shot was
taken. you can see traces of ice on the lawn. strangely
enough, it warmed up to the low 50s the weekend of my brewing,
so this wasn't as cold an experience as the ice suggests.

| the scottish-ish continues...
I had too much liquid in this batch (six gallons) at an OG of
1.041, and it didn't come out that great. perfectly drinkable,
with no off-flavors, but lacking in... just about everything.
I think the identical recipie into five gallons would have been
just about right.
